In the fourth quarter of 2023, Nigeria's iOS platform saw notable activity in the Photo and Video app category. Here's a look at the performance of the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Snapchat showed a mixed trend in weekly downloads, peaking at around 73.8K in mid-December, before ending the year with 63.8K. Its weekly revenue saw a noticeable increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately $2.9K in mid-November. Active users steadily grew from 2.5M at the start of the quarter to a peak of 2.7M in early December.

CapCut - Video Editor experienced a significant rise in weekly downloads, culminating in 90.6K in the final week of December. Revenue also saw a surge, with a high of $388 in mid-November and $335 in the last week of December. Active users grew consistently, ending the quarter with 484.5K.

Instagram maintained a steady performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 23.9K and 29.4K. Revenue peaked at approximately $12.1K at the end of October and saw a dip to $6.7K by the end of December. Active users hovered around 900K, showing a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.

YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream had a stable download rate, ending the quarter with around 23.1K downloads. Revenue showed a peak of $4.9K in late November, while active users remained around 1.9M throughout the quarter.

VLC media player had consistent weekly downloads, peaking at 15.8K in early October. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter with approximately 96.2K.
